Playing on their home turf for the final game of the 2015 season the Western Wildcats came out on top, in this non District Game, against the South Broward Bulldogs in a final score of 21-6. In a game that was penalty ridden, there were some impact players that still made some big plays. But, unfortunately for South Broward 2 of those penalties cost them 12 points with 2 TD passes called back and another penalty in the endzone nullified a pic.
The HSPN SPORTS ‘Player of the Game’ was Sophomore Elijah Moore (Ath) who came out of the game with 8 receptions for 100 yards and 1 reception for 21 yards and a TD. Tyler Monaco (QB) to Moore was definitely the combination that they were trying to get to all night, especially when Moore had linebacker zone coverage.
Besides the 2 TD’s that the Bulldogs had called back on penalties the Wildcats defense held South Broward to only 6 points.
On the Bulldogs offensive side of the ball, Allen Crawford (Ath), busted a 68 yard TD run on the first series of play, running over Wildcats making it appear that it was going to be a long night for the Wildcats defense. Crawford finished the night with 6 carries for 113 yards and 1 TD.
