With just over a week to go before their season opener the Wildcats are preparing for Miami Ferguson in their Friday night Kick Off Classic. A tradition now in South Florida to see where your team is and let them get physical against another opponent as they get ready for their season openers. And HSPN came out to their Tuesday practice to see the team as we get prepared for this years live broadcasts.
The Wildcats have been working hard this offseason. As Head Coach Ratkevich says, ‘We’ve been preparing the entire off season for a 15 week season not a 10 week season and that takes a whole different mentality.’ And it’s true, we’ve witnessed the intensity in the weight room as HSPN came to visit them this summer.
Coach Ratkevich says that there motto this year is ‘Unfinished Business’ as the Wildcats made it to the first round of the playoffs for the first time in the schools history last year. The Wildcats got a taste of what victory feels like and now the returning seniors want to finish what they started, get to Orlando and bring home that coveted high school championship ring. They will be the first group of seniors to leave with a winning tradition. So it’s true, they do have some ‘Unfinished Business’.
Can the Wildcats and Coach Ratkevich and his staff accomplish that goal? Well, you can stay tuned because HSPN Sports will be covering all of their home games live, as well as covering them throughout the season, and find out.
HSPN Sports is covering the Wildcats and their program this season because many of Coach Ratkevich’s student athletes are enrolled in the PTRG Academy. Also Coach Ratkevich STEALTH Rated his starters.
HSPN supports and gives national exposure to ALL student athletes and their programs that participate in those programs.
Good luck this season Wildcats!
