We began “The Recruiting Road” series last night by highlighting the top two reasons for high school coach to use the STEALTH 5-Star Rating System.

1. The HS coach controls the entire rating process and can update each athletes rating anytime measurable changes need to be made
2. Use system to share with parents and update them on their child’s college readiness and recruiting

Coaches have their own dashboard where they ‘Assess My Athletes,’ ‘See My Athletes,’ ‘Edit My Athletes,’ and can ‘Download High School Assessment Spreadsheet.’ The assessment spreadsheet is complete with data on each of the players you assess. This allows the head coach, and/or his designee to maintain control over the entire process.

3. Use the system as a tool to motivate your players to continue improving performance in critical areas of the assessment

Players who do not initially rate high in the STEATH assessment can be coached to improve their performance. STEALTH encourages coaches to rate their players each quarter, or at least twice a year. Coaches can work with players who’s ratings are low and hope to see improvements in the next rating cycle. Any improvements to any area of the STEALTH assessment will result in a slightly higher rating.

STEALTH also serves as an archival system tracking players’ ratings over the course of their high school career. It’s interesting to go back into the system and see the impact former players’ ratings had on their college choice and transition.
