Cruising towards the Finish on “The Recruiting Road:” The Number Seven and Eight Reasons Parents Will Like STEALTH

If you missed any part of our series on why high school parents will like the STEALTH 5-Star Rating System, we’ve attempted to address some of the biggest challenges many parents face trying to get their child recruited. Those challenges include spending an inordinate amount of time and money going to football camps and events, or transferring from one high school to another to find the right football program for their child.

By the time the list is complete, parents should understand how to overcome some of the challenges presented in this series. Here are the first six reasons parents will like the STEALTH 5-Star Rating System:

  1. You can actually start the STEALTH Rating process for your kids right away with access to the assessment online. STEALTH is available to all football athletes, not just the ones who are elite, NCAA Division I level talent.
  2. At the conclusion of the assessment, parents will have a better understanding of how prepared their child is to be recruited at the college level.
  3. Because the STEALTH Rating is essentially an assessment tool, a parent will know what their child needs to work to increase their chances of getting recruited and earning a scholarship.
  4. Parents will have a better understanding of the types of colleges that their kid could possibly play at.
  5. Parents can use the results from STEALTH to motivate their child into taking positive and proactive steps towards being college ready and recruitable
  6. STEALTH actually encourages leadership and personal development skills

7. STEALTH objectively assesses each athlete the same. There is no consideration given to the type of high school the athlete attends, nor the level of competition they face.

There is a bit of an epidemic developing with high school football parents today. Parents sometimes arbitrarily take their kids and transfer from one school to the next in order to have a better chance of being recruited. This goes away when you use STEALTH Rating. The entire assessment is designed to capture objective data no matter what school the athlete attends. There are usually “red flags” associated with transferring schools too often. Most college coaches frown on it because it indicates instability and indecision.

8. Knowing and understanding your child’s STEALTH Rating helps a parent understand the value of attending certain camps and combines.

STEALTH can and should be used as personal development tool for your child. It not only provides parents with an idea of what their child’s value is to colleges and coaches, but it also points out their performance gaps. Those performance gaps if improved upon, can help improve their child’s rating and ranking.

We conclude the series tomorrow evening with reasons nine and ten.
