The Raiders of Glades Central met the #1 High School Football team in the nation, Booker T Washington, in the first round of the FHSAA playoffs and found out how hard it was going to be to weather a F5 Storm as the Tornados put up 40 points to beat the Raiders 40-18 at Traz Powell Stadium in Miami, Florida. The Tornados have only allowed 6 points from their opponents this entire year. The Raiders put up 16 of their 18 points after most of the starters had come off the field.

The Tornados pulled their #1 QB, Treon Harris, early in the 3rd quarter to give their Junior QB Atkins more playing time and allow Harris to remain healthy for the second round playoffs that will be played against Davie, Florida’s powerhouse (and Nationally ranked) University School this week. This matchup could be as close to a High School Football National Championship than any other post game playoff/ championship game in the entire country this season.
